On Vacation!

I headed to the mountains with Grandma and Grandpa Young today for Thanksgiving!  Uncle Skylar and Nichole came with us too...and of course Paul!  Mom and Dad will be up here with us tomorrow.  

Riding in the car is much more fun with Grandma and Grandpa!  Okay, for the record the car wasn't moving and Grandpa was making funny faces at me through the window...

Good Eater!

I've become quite the eater these days!  This weekend I got to go to a Mexican restaurant with Mom and Dad.  I had some avocado, steak, chicken soup and tortilla.  Then tonight we all went over to the Dakake's house for dinner.  I met a new friend and had a grilled cheese sandwich.  Mom couldn't believe that I almost ate the entire thing (after some guacamole)!

Now Mom and Dad don't even have to cut the avocado into pieces for me!

Same with banana - I can manage it on my own - although I do tend to end up with a bit much in my mouth at times...

I'm a big water drinker too.  Grandma Young was having a drink of water and I wanted some too!  I think she got the message when I started licking the glass...

When Mom was out of town, Dad gave me some peaches and I just wanted to lick them up - can you tell??

Fun with a Box!

I overheard Grandpa Young say all he was going to get me for Christmas was a box.  I'm perfectly okay with that!  Look at all the fun you can have with a box...

And Mom didn't get pictures of me banging on it and opening/shutting the lid over and over.  A box is so much fun!  I hope he at least wraps it up for me...

Talk About Hand-Me-Downs!

So not only do I get to have clothes from consignment sales and my older friends, now I get hand-me-downs from Mom and Dad!

At Grandma and Grandpa's I get to use Mom's old high chair...

And it's getting cold here so I tried on one of Mom's old hats.  I don't like hats as much as Mom did though...

Here I am trying on Dad's old Halloween costume that Grandma made him.  I'm a cute pumpkin in whatever costume you put on me!

Sick as a Dog!

Last week wasn't a very good week for me...  I started the week with a bad cold and a nasty cough.  Then on Tuesday I had some spots on my arms and legs and had to go to the doctor.  Ends up one of my friends in daycare had hand, foot and mouth virus and gave it to all of us in the class (except for one or two lucky kids).  Lucky for me it wasn't too bad and I didn't get a fever or bad blisters.  But when I was at the doctor she found out that I had a minor ear infection.  Well, that got worse and so now I'm taking some medicine to make sure it goes away.  So needless to say I wasn't feeling too great by the end of the week!

On Friday, I got to skip school for the first time!  Since I don't nap very well at school, Mom and Dad thought I would get more rest at home.  Mom stayed with me in the morning and then Dad came home to hang out in the afternoon.  Even though I wasn't interested in sleeping in my crib, I got a couple naps in my stroller and in Mom and Dad's bed!

On Sunday I wasn't feeling too bad...still have the cold but I think the medicine is working for my ear infection.  No naps for me in the dump truck, but it's still fun to ride around in!

Happy Birthday to Oliver!

The weekend before last I went to Oliver's first birthday party.  I can't wait until it's my turn!  

Oliver had the coolest cake!  I even got a couple tastes of the frosting and it was good!

I took notes from Ollie so now I know what I'm supposed to do on my birthday...

I took a couple of wagon rides around the yard.  They had a bounce house too!  I went in with Mom after everyone left - it was a little too crazy for me in there with all of the big kids!

I got to try out a fancy tricycle!

Me and Ollie raced each other in the living room!  We both had our game faces on - serious competition! 

Happy Halloween!

My fall festival was just a dress rehearsal for my pumpkin costume.  Last Thursday was the real deal and I did a great job as the cutest pumpkin ever!  I like the Halloween thing - we hung out in the front yard and all these people stopped by and told me how cute I was.  It made wearing tights worth it!  You can tell in the pictures that I took my role as pumpkin very seriously!

Ten Months Old!

I turned 10 months old last Sunday Oct 27th!  I can't believe only 2 more months until Christmas and my first birthday!  Time flies when you're having fun and living the good life!

I had a doctor's appointment last week to get the 2nd part of my flu shot.  It was a quick appointment (and I hardly cried for the shot), but I snuck onto the scale to see how much I weigh now - almost 21 lbs!  My hair is getting pretty long these days.  Most of the time, it looks like the picture above (kind of a mess)!  But in the mornings, Mom and Dad comb it nice like the picture below.  I'm too busy to worry about my hair staying nice throughout the day though!

Apple Picking!

While Grandma and Grandpa Hermansen were in town we went to Ellijay in North GA to pick some apples.  I was a very good supervisor!
