Children's Museum!
Last Monday was MLK Day so Mom and I celebrated by staying home for the day! Mom took me to the Children's Museum downtown. Grandma Young came too and we met up with my buddy Oliver and his mom.
I got to play in a big tub of water. Mom didn't think I would be interested in it - she was wrong! I splashed around so much I had to put on a rain jacket to keep playing!

This was one of my favorite things to play on - I kept going back and forth on this little hill. It was kind of like a street curb - I like going up and down on those too!
After we played at the museum we walked to Ted's Montana Grill and had lunch. I got a big surprise because Dad met us there! It was a busy morning for me. I remember leaving the restaurant but then the next thing I knew I woke up in my bed a little later in the afternoon!

My Rings!
I'm not sure why this is picture worthy, but Mom thought so. I mean, rain boots are a perfect place to put my plastic rings... I was just trying to help pick up a little bit!
When I'm not putting my rings away, I like to play with them too! I've figured out how to stack them. Well, almost. I can't get them all to fit quite right - I'm working on it though!

Haircut - the Real One!
So I admit, my hair may have been getting a little out of control...
It was time for my mullet to go I suppose!
So last Saturday we went to a special hair cutting place just for me!
Another boy got the cool car so I got stuck with the princess car. It was okay though - Mom kept handing me Cheerios. The lady was very fast cutting my hair and I hardly noticed her.
I even gave Mom and Dad a little smile after it was all done! Kind of nice not having hair tickling the back of my neck!
Here's the after... You can tell the lady even used the trimmer around my ears! Everyone says how handsome and blonde I look now!
Another view of the finished product! I really need to stop letting Mom take profile pictures of me and my belly!

Cool Clothes!
I've had a few pretty cool outfits over the past several weeks that I've had fun showing off. It's hard to compete with the cute dresses the girls wear, but the girls don't get to wear fun clothes like I do!
Clemson played in the Orange Bowl so of course I had to wear my Clemson orange to school. I decided to break out my orange overalls! They were good luck!
This is not my first choice of sweatshirt - it has funny ears on it and makes my belly look big! But Mom thought I looked cute...
This is my outfit from Aunt Laura and Uncle Dan. I really turned some heads with this outfit at school!
The camo pants are cool, but the shoes are even cooler! Mom got me some sneakers for my birthday and of course they are orange!
Nothing fancy about my PJ outfit here, but I was having a fun time playing peek-a-boo with myself and Mom caught me!

Out for a Stroll!
The other weekend I hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Young for the day. It was nice outside so Grandpa and I went for a walk! Don't let the hand holding fool you though - I only do that when I want to and that sure isn't when Mom or Dad needs me to!

Superman!
Mom and Dad almost forgot about this super cool shirt I had in my closet. When I wear it, I get to be Superman - with a cape and everything!
On the same day I was Superman, so was Ayden! What are the odds of that??!! He didn't have a cape though...
I got to wear it again this past weekend. You will notice that my hair is a bit shorter than the first time I was Superman...more to come on that! Paul and I were buddies...mainly because I had a bowl of Cheerios, but that's okay!
Last Superman pic! Dad wanted me to have the complete outfit so he turned my socks into tights. I went along with it and showed off my super strength!

Haircut!
So I technically had my first haircut Dec 18th, even though it was done at home and only on the front of my hair...
Here's what my hair looked right before it got cut...Mom and Dad just couldn't let me go on my big trip to Iowa with my hair in my eyes!

By the way, the girl in the picture is my friend Emmaline. We were getting ready to have breakfast at school.
Here's the after (by a couple of days)! Not perfectly even but Dad did a pretty good job for his first time!
I think my first professional haircut might be coming soon though. Mom and Dad keep saying that I am business in the front and have a party going on in the back...whatever that means! Parties are fun - not sure what the problem is...

Christmas at Home!
I almost forgot about the second Christmas I had at home! We had a mini-Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Young after my birthday celebration.
Grandma Hermansen made sure I had my very own stocking!
Mom wanted a picture of me in front of the Christmas tree but I wasn't really into posing so this was the best we got!
Here's my basketball skills in action!

Presents Galore!
Between Christmas and my birthday I got so many fun presents from everyone! If I could write, I would write everyone a thank you card to tell them how much I appreciate the gifts! Here are a few of the fun things I received...
I got this snazzy looking vest from Aunt Noreen (I needed it over the last couple of days! And I got this popper toy from Aunt Laura and Uncle Dan.
Aunt Christy, Uncle Jim and my cousins gave me my very own suitcase and it has wheels! Guess I'm going to have to visit them more often!
Grandma and Grandpa Hermansen gave me my very own car! I had lots of fun getting pushed around in it. It was good for having a snack in, too!
The horn even works on it! It's still in Iowa - I guess Grandma and Grandpa need to come visit me soon so I can have my car!
Grandma and Grandpa Hermansen also gave me a drum! Mom and Dad were so excited for me!
I got some new chairs for my birthday! Grandma and Grandpa Young gave me a rocking chair that is harder for me to tip over than my other one. It even has my name on the back of it! Mom and Dad gave me the green chair - it's just the right size for me!
I got some big legos from Uncle Dan and Aunt Laura. My new chair was perfect for checking them out!
Dad got me my own basketball hoop and I even get to play it inside the house! It's just the right height for me!
I got a lot of great gifts, but I gave a few of my own to my grandparents, too!

Happy Birthday to Me (Part 3)!
This birthday and Christmas thing is awesome - it seems like I got to open presents everyday for a week and a half!
Saturday after my birthday, we had some friends over to our house to celebrate my birthday!

I wanted to check out my cake before everyone else got to see it!
Apparently the cool cake was for everyone else to eat. I just got the little circle cake all to myself. I guess it did have my name on it though!
This cake was vanilla and I didn't want to try it out. I'm sure it wasn't as good as the chocolate cake I had in Iowa anyway. Plus all these people were watching me - kind of make me nervous!
After cake I showed my friend Oliver (the elf) how to play with the Elmo mailbox.
Poor Mom - she always tries to take a picture with me when I'm in the middle of something. No time to pose!

Happy Birthday to Me (For Real)!
We flew back home from Iowa on Christmas Day. Not the best way to spend Christmas but I was a pretty good boy on the flight home. Then I had to get up and head back to school the very next morning. But Mom and Dad made it a little better by taking me to IHOP for breakfast on the way!
Then Friday was my birthday! I turned 1 year old! No one can seem to believe it! Mom and Dad gave me one of my presents before school - I have my very own chair for the living room now!
Look at how I've grown in a year!
On my birthday, Mom picked me up from school early and I thought we were going to have a fun day but instead she brought me to the doctor's office! I got several shots and they pricked my toe. Not the birthday present I was looking for! Good news is that because I went to the doctor, they figured out that I had an ear infection in both ears. Now I'm getting medicine and feeling better! I weighed 20 lbs 12 oz so I'm on the skinny side - not hard to believe since I get so much exercise with my walking around all day! But 29.5 inches so definitely getting taller!
Check out how I've grown into my Clemson PJs! 1 week old and 1 year old! They are getting to be on the tight side so that may be getting retired now...
