Easter Weekend Part 2!

I got excited and published my post the other day before I actually finished it...

On Easter Sunday, I went with Mom and Dad to an Easter dinner with several friends!  It was very busy but lots of fun!  Landon and Dylan have lots of cool toys in their basement including a mini-trampoline and a ball pit.  I had played hard with both of those!

Here we all are!  Landon, Dylan, Mackenzie, Elle, me and Elliott!

And here are all of our parents (minus Elle and Elliott's mom)!

Here's our nice family picture in our Easter clothes!

We got to do another Easter egg hunt in the backyard, but I had had enough of the Easter eggs!  I was more interested in playing with the ball and exploring new steps!

New Words!

I'm adding to my vocabulary every day!  I think I can say about 100 words but Mom and Dad only understand about 3 or 4 at this point.  Shoe, bye bye, night night and dog.  I can definitely understand a lot of words that Mom and Dad tell me - I know what it means to get my diaper changed (I'll go get the changing supplies), I can put my clothes in the laundry basket when asked, and of course, I'm still an excellent trashman!

Here I am saying bye bye...  I'll say it to anyone - and might even give a wave with it!

Last month, I had a surprise visit from Uncle Dan!  He was in town for work and took a night to stop by and say hi!  I put on a show for him and showed him all my new tricks!

Easter Weekend!

I had a busy Easter weekend that started the weekend before last!  I definitely didn't win any Easter egg hunts, but maybe next year!

First I went over to Grandma and Grandpa Young's rental house for a picnic lunch.  I got an Easter basket and found some hidden eggs in the yard.

Then on Saturday this past weekend, I went to a big Easter egg hunt in our neighborhood.  I got one or two eggs and that was enough for me.  Especially since I found one with a Reese's cup in it and Mom let me try it!  After the first bite I said mmmmm!

Here I am with my one egg - I had even more fun playing with the big kid toys!

They had a yoga mat at the party and it reminded me of my nap mat at school!  I layed down on it and said night night....

Back to the Zoo!

The weekend before last we make another trip to the zoo - this time with some of my friends.  I couldn't really get to the see the tiger this time, but I could see the gorillas and I had fun watching them - especially the baby ones!

Here was an attempt to get a picture of all of us kids...didn't go so well!  Landon is on top of the gorilla and his brother Dylan is sitting in front.  Mackenzie is next to Dylan.

I gave the goats another try at the petting zoo.  I petted a goat, but I wasn't ready for the sheep.  Maybe next time...

We got to rid a train around the zoo!  I was squirmy while we were waiting for it to go...

But once we started moving, I sat right between Mom and Dad and didn't move!

I got to check out the playground this trip as well!

Beach Trip Part 4!

Okay, last recap of my beach trip - it was a busy 5 days if you can't tell!  I had a lot of fun on the trip - being silly and playing with my friends.  By the end of the trip, I had gotten over my shyness with Oliver and Davis and was one of the boys!

This is why the coffee table got stashed in a closet...

Why wouldn't you put a bucket on your head?

Here's a video of Davis and I playing around...

And here's Ollie and I playing "King of the Chair"!  Mom only got a little bit of our game on video but we were having a blast!

Beach Trip Part 3!

We had some great weather on our trip but it wasn't perfect...  We had a rainy day so we went to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa.  It was my first time to an aquarium!  I saw some fish, penguins, otters and sting rays.

There weren't a ton of lunch options after the aquarium (especially for our group of 7)...  So we ended up at Hooters.  The waitresses were very nice (and pretty of course - why else do you think all 7 of us were looking at the camera?)!

I had to call someone and tell them about my awesome lunch at Hooters!

Beach Trip Part 2!

During our trip to the beach we stayed in a really nice condo right on the beach.  It was big enough for all 7 of us to have a great time!

I was showing Ollie how my monitor camera works...  We had to use the cooler as a coffee table since our dads stashed the main one in a closet - apparently it wasn't a good idea for us to play on a glass-topped table!

Ollie and I were having a funny discussion over breakfast!

Don't we look like a bunch of angels?  Ollie (17 months), Davis (3.5 yrs), Me (15 months)

Dad made us a fun climbing wall out of the chair during picture night!

Here's the best of the Hermansen family!

Here's all 7 of us!  I might not look like it in the picture but I did have a great time!

Sunset view from our condo balcony...

View of the intercoastal waterway and bridge from our balcony...

Beach Trip!

I got to go on my first spring break trip the weekend before last - it was my first time to the beach, too!  We went to Indian Shores, FL which was outside of Tampa.  My friends Oliver and Davis (and their mom and dad) came too.  It was an 8 hour car ride!  Both ways, I only had to get out of the car one time!  I got an A- on the way down for my traveling (I got a little cranky at the end - who wouldn't after 8 hours in the car and past their bedtime?).  But I got an A+ on the way home!
Here we all are at the beach!  The weather was great for 2 days.  Then it got pretty windy and then rainy.  But I got in some sun and water time!

One of my favorite things to do was play in a bucket of water.  I could splash in it, dump it out and then someone would fill it back up for me!

Here I am with my feet in the ocean!  It was pretty cold but I liked it!  No swimming just yet for me but it was fun to walk out into the water.

One day Oliver and I went down to the beach in the stroller.  I look like I'm sleeping, but I wasn't.

Don't I look like I belong on the beach?

I got to go in a big pool for the first time too!  I liked it when Dad threw me up in the air!

More to come about all of the other fun stuff I did on my trip...

15 Months!

I turned 15 months March 27th!  I had to go to the doctors and get more shots.  But I quickly forgot about the shots since Grandma and Grandpa Hermansen were waiting for me when I got home!  I still had an ear infection in one of my ears so we had to go see a special doctor the next week.  She was really nice, but told Mom and Dad that I need to have some tubes put in my ears.  That doesn't sound like fun, but I guess it's okay if I won't have to deal with so many ear infections!  And it will help make sure I don't have any problems hearing - that's good because I really like to repeat what I hear these days!

Speaking of talking...my first official word is "shoe"!  I think it's "na-na" but Mom and Dad don't count that because they don't know what it means.  Not my fault that they can't figure it out...  But I definitely know what shoes are and am not afraid to say it!

Here's some proof of my first word!

Grandma and Grandpa Hermansen brought me some puzzles that I've been having fun figuring out.  My other favorite toy at the moment is the living room pillows.  I like to make a pile of them and fall/jump on them.  Some head bumps as a result but nothing that has deterred me yet!

Here's a quick video of my pillow jumping fun!
