Trucks and More Trucks!

Something I love right now is trucks!  All kinds but trash, fire and dump trucks are my favorite.  I have lots of trucks to play with and lots of books about trucks, too.  This past week I've had fun organizing my trucks in different ways.  Then I ask for "cheese" of my hard work (translation: cheese = picture)!

Here are all of my trucks!  Most days you can find them just like this! Mom doesn't understand that they are no fun stored in the cabinet.

Here's two of my organizations - I called these "gates".  They might look the same but they aren't!

Here are two others...

I have a big front end tractor - I made a little change to its seat the other day!

And I still like my cars of course!  I came up with this all on my own - the cars come down the ramp and go right into the box!

Lots of Firsts!

It's Clara again...  I've had lots of firsts in my first month!  Even though I'm the second child lots of my firsts are still getting captured in pictures!

My first real outfit I got to wear...  And see - I don't sleep all the time!

My first time wearing a bow...  I'll let Mom have fun with this for a while (until I can take them off myself!)

My first professional pictures...  I was a willing participant since they let me sleep through it!

My first time in the car seat...  I was getting to go home!

My first night at home in the swaddle and my first walk in the carrier with Mom...

My first grocery store trip and my first dress (well, pants with a tutu - close enough)...

My first week documented on the chalkboard and my first "kiss" from Paul...

My first "Pinterest" photo shoot...

My first vote of confidence from Mom...

Fun with Aunt Christy!

After Clara came home, Aunt Christy came to visit from Wisconsin.  I had lots of fun with her here!

When it was nice outside, we went to the zoo with Dad.  George came with us too.  George and I got a picture with one of his relatives.  Aunt Christy and I got a selfie - my favorite way to take pictures!

I got to see some pretty cool animals and hang out in the petting zoo.

We watched some funny videos...

We did some snuggling with Clara...

Aunt Christy gave me my own toolbox.  Now I'm able to "help" Dad with his projects!

On Fridays we have "show and share" at school.  The other week I took in my eyes (some people call them sunglasses) to show and share with my friends.

My First Post!

This is Clara!  I have such a good big brother letting me share his blog with him!  I've been in the world 3 1/2 weeks and I'm loving it so far.  I get to eat whenever I want and take most of my naps in someone's arms.  I hardly ever have to cry since life is so good!

I will say that I was pretty mad at first to have to come out of Mom's belly - it was nice and comfy.  I would have stayed in there longer if they had let me, just like my brother.  My birthday is Jan 20th and I was born at 8:33am.  I was (am) a big girl - 9 lb 5 oz and 20 in.  Dad said I yelled louder than my brother when I came into the world!  No audio with the below pictures, but you can get the idea...

Here's my first picture with Mom and Dad.  I was still mad so I was hiding in my blanket...

I settled down pretty quickly though once I realized how cozy it was to be held tight by everyone!

I got to meet both of my Grandmas in my first two days!

And both of my Grandpa's...  Pretty sure I'll have them wrapped around my finger just like Dad!

My Aunt Christy came into town the day I came home from the hospital so I got to spend a couple of days with her too.  But of course my favorite person (besides Mom since she feeds me) is my big brother!

I can't forget my other big brother Paul!  He's been very nice to me as well but mostly keeps his distance, except when he's looking for attention from someone holding me!

I have to agree with everyone - I'm quite the beauty!  And my chubby cheeks just add to the cuteness factor!

Time to Share!

I'm learning that part of being a good big brother is having to share with Clara.  She doesn't do much right now so I don't have to share much yet, except for Mom and Dad.  I'm also going to share my blog with her so she has a chance to tell everyone what she's up to in her own words.

But first, here's a couple pictures of what I've been doing...

Here I am being a good big brother!  I like to hold Clara and rub her head - she's very soft!

When Clara was still in the hospital, I gave her a present to welcome her to the family!

I can be quite the dare devil these days!  And I'm still a picky eater but some nights, I can put away the food!  Mom said I was eating like a horse.  I answered her by saying "neigh"!

Typical day around the house for me.  Mom found some old cameras for me to use.  I like to tell everyone "cheese"!  Grandma Pam gave me my own backpack for Christmas.  Mom had it packed up for me to bring to the hospital when Clara arrived.  I was ready!

This is a typical Saturday morning around the house for me.  Wearing a headlamp and backpack - that's a normal outfit right?  And who doesn't like to empty out cupboards?

I tend to do my own thing these days but Paul and I are still buddies!  I'm trying to help him get used to having Clara around the house.  Grandma got me my own tricycle and I got to test it out at the park.  I've got it all figured out - just lift your feet up when you go down a hill and it goes fast!
