Corn on the Cob!

Both Clara and I are big fans of corn on the cob!  I like to pretend I'm a chipmunk when I'm eating it!

Clara is still figuring out the best way to eat corn on the cob - she seems to prefer the ends for some reason... 

See me as a chipmunk?  I'm pretty sure I'm messier than a chipmunk though... 

Clara will figure out the that ends aren't the best part of the corn one day!

In addition to corn, Clara likes raspberries.  She learned quickly that the best way to eat these is off the tip of your finger!  I wonder who taught her that...

Hair Gone Wild!

We definitely don't have a shortage of hair in this household!

After bath time, I always slick my hair back to let it dry (it's a little long these days to let it loose!)  One night Owen wanted his hair slicked back too!  So we had matching hair dos! 

My hair is finally long enough for actual pig tails (that don't make me look like an alien)! 

When Dad realized that Owen's hair could be slicked back like mine, he said it was time for a hair cut!  So Owen got his summer cut!

Beach Fun!

Of course when we were in Destin, we spent a lot of time at the beach!  I still like to spend most of my time digging in the sand but I ventured out to the water some!

Here's what a day at the beach with us looked like!

The boys worked hard on some digging!  We tried to dig to China, but didn't quite make it!

Snack time was a big part of our beach days!

Clara did a lot of hanging out with Mom and Dad at the beach (pretty typical of the whole trip)!

Clara got her feet in the ocean but she preferred to sit on Mom and Dad!

Clara figured out how much fun a bucket of water can be!

The ocean waves were pretty good for relaxing and napping apparently!

Destin Trip Fun!

We went to the beach in Destin, FL again this year with our friends!  It was all the same people, just a year older.  We added two new people this year, too - Bob and Blake.  I think they managed to have a good time, even with 8 crazy kids running around!

We stayed in the same house as we did the year before!

Can you tell that I was excited about the trip?!  I also got a new blow up bed for the trip.  With how tired I was everyday, the floor probably would have been fine but the blow up bed it more fun! 

The house had lots of porches to hang out on and relax!

The porch was also a good place to enjoy popsicles!  Clara tried them for the first time and loved them!

We were always on the go, but sometimes it was nice to wind down and relax with some iPad time!

iPad watching can be serious business.  Landon fell asleep while we were watching a movie on the porch - not me though! 

We spent most of our afternoons (after nap time) at the house's pool.

One day we went to the pool before nap time - this why we usually went afterwards! 

Clara wasn't too interested in hanging out with anyone besides Mom and Dad most of the trip, but there were a few times when she had fun playing with Emme!  This was a game of trade the lovie back and forth!

We had fun recreating the kid's group picture from last year!  We all sat in the same spots except for Clara - she would only cooperate if she could sit by me!
