Pool Fun!

When I got home from my trip, it didn't take long for me to discover the new pool on the back deck!  It became our evening and weekend morning fun!

And of course our pool is clothing optional - you can see what Clara and I prefer!

Sometimes it's fun to bring out a cooler as a soaker tub!

One night we got to go to the real pool with our friends Landon and Dylan!  We had a pizza party at the pool for dinner - no silliness from us at all...

Atlanta 4th of July!

Owen may have gotten to go to Iowa for the 4th of July, but Mom and I managed to have a pretty good holiday ourselves!  I did end up with a cold and ear infection so it was probably better that I wasn't flying on airplanes anyway!

I tried to get lots of rest over the weekend so I could recover quickly!

Grandpa Mark brought over my very own pool for the back deck!  Putting my feet in was enough for me though...

I was more happy to just have Grandpa Mark hold me!

Mom and I met Grandma B in Marietta for the 4th of July parade.  It was hot!

Grandpa Mark joined us after he finished running the Peachtree Road race!

After the parade, we went to the Marietta Square and played at the train park!  I had fun going down the slide!  It was still hot...

The fountain in the square is always a good place to take some pictures!  At least it was a little cooler by the water!

I was even brave enough to pet a dog!  He was little though so not too scary...

I missed out on fireworks because I couldn't stay awake, but Mom said she could see the neighborhood fireworks from our house.  Maybe next year I'll get to stay up for them!

I also learned to jump!  Well, kind of...

Mom and I had some fun playing catch too - lots of laughs!

Iowa Trip!

I must be pretty special because Dad took me to Iowa over 4th of July to see Grandma Pam and Grandpa Mike.  Just me!  We had lots of fun and I got to spend some time with my cousins!
Just in time for the trip, I got Ryder (from Paw Patrol) and his ATV.  I earned him by going to sleep at night all by myself!

The weather was really nice in Iowa (not like the super hot weather we left behind with Mom and Clara) so we spent a lot of time outside!  The mosquitoes weren't even too bad!

My favorite activity was driving around the neighbor's car!  I got pretty good at navigating all of the cars in the driveway.  And some might remember the car from 2 years ago when we good family pictures - the car made an appearance or 2 in the pictures with me!

I even got to do some fishing on the lake!  I had some help from my cousin Lauren.

I had a lot of fun with Lauren during my visit!

It's not a trip to Iowa without having corn!

I helped Grandma make some 4th of July cupcakes!

Grandpa tried to help but Grandma and I had things under control!  Cupcake decorating is very serious work...

Here I am with the finished product!  And no, Dad didn't catch me blinking - that's just my "normal" camera face!

I finally got to taste all my hard work - it was delicious!

Here's my driving skills in action!

Hat and More Hats!

I've become quite a fan of hats these days!  All kinds are fine...

Wearing Owen's helmet around the house paid off because I have my own now!

When Mom was going through old clothes, I came across one of Owen's hats (that he never even wore apparently) and it's become one of my favorites!

Construction hats are good to have on while eating dinner - better safe than sorry!

A hat, fingers and a lovie - a winning combination for watching TV!

Mom even found a hat that Owen likes - Paw Patrol of course!

Like Mommy?

We're starting to see some similarities between myself and Mom these days...

I thought I was being funny making up this face on my own - guess it's just in my genes...

And apparently my pig tails aren't unique either!

Weekend River Walk!

One weekend we went on a walk at the Chattahoochee River.  We didn't get going as early as Mom and Dad wanted so it was a little hot!  But Clara and I didn't mind!

We went down to the river to take a little break and to throw some rocks!

Clara got tired of the stroller and wanted to walk with the rest of us!

Sleepy Heads!

Luckily for Mom and Dad, both Clara and I still like our naps!  We might flight it when it's time for nap, but we usually lose that one...

Lately building forts has helped make nap time more fun for me.  The more pillows the better!  Sleeping on the floor doesn't bother me.  It's been a couple of months since I've slept in a bed, even at night!

Since Clara is still a baby, she usually has someone rock her to sleep.  And of course her fingers and lovie are never too far away!  If a lovie isn't around she's not opposed to using something else, as long as it has a tag...

Clara doesn't take her naps in forts like me.  She still sleeps in her crib.  Mom and Dad said they hope it stays like that for a while.  If I keep sleeping on the floor, maybe I can just give her my bed...

When we wake up from our naps, we both need a little time.  If you rush us, be prepared for some grumpy kiddos!
