Playdates!

Sometimes we use the weekends for more friend time!  I tend to choose to see my old PreK friends that don't go to my school and Clara likes to get together with her school friends.  I guess seeing them everyday at school isn't enough!

One weekend, we had a big friend meet up at Rock N Jump!

Clara's classmate, Ethan, is the brother of one of my old classmates!  They had fun racing each other on the trampoline!

My favorite play dates are when my best buddies Spencer and Elliott can be there!

Another weekend I had my friend Ollie over!  No rain in the forecast so we brought the bouncy house outside!

Clara had her friend Ridley over.  No surprise it turned into a princess fashion show!

Even when friends aren't over, we make a play date for just the two of us.  Go Fish is one of our favorite games to play together!

We had a fun time together at one of the Smyrna summer concerts, too!

Dad had a surprise for us in the bouncy house!  It was so hot, he put the hose in there so it was a bouncy water house!

First Grade!

I started first grade!  It was exciting starting a new school year, but not being completely new to the school!  I have a few friends from my kindergarten class in my first grade class plus a friend from our neighborhood.

Beach Trip!

After school was out for the summer, we took our annual trip to the beach with our friends!  No tropical storm this year to make us evacuate.  We got to enjoy each day at the beach or the pool (most days both)!

Can you tell how much fun we have enjoying the beach with our friends?  And we don't even mind posing for a few pictures these days!

We still fit on a couch together (minus two of our friends who couldn't make the trip down), but we like to have our devices these days!

It was definitely a good thing we didn't have to evacuate again - I don't think we would have been able to fit it all back in the car again!

At the beach, I still love the waves and Clara still loves the sand!

Clara started out just a little wet, but then she just had to chase the seagulls into the ocean!

Mom took Landon and I on a bike ride to the island's lighthouse.  We even got to climb up to the top of it!

I said that I like jumping in the waves - I didn't say I was good at riding them!

But I am good at catching a ball while jumping into the pool!

Summer Camps!

Over the summer, I spent the weeks going to lots of different camps!  I went to a swimming camp, a Lego camp, a sports camp, a circus camp, a soccer camp and GP for Kids camp!  It was a busy summer...

A bonus of circus camp was that I got to spend the week (including overnight!) with my friends Landon and Dylan since we all went to camp together.  After a full day of camp we snuggled up for a little screen time!

On the last day of circus camp, we did a performance for all of the parents!  Our group was in charge of hula hooping!

I had a great time at the GP for Kids camp - I got to see some of my old friends and got to go to school with Clara again!

Adventures on the Water!

We spent a weekend at Lake Hartwell with our friends Davis and Ollie!  Their grandparents live on the lake and they have a fun (fast) boat and lots of water toys!  Clara and I were super brave this trip and tried new things!

We enjoyed relaxing on the boat rides we took!

I learned how to kayak and was able to maneuver pretty well around the dock!

Davis and I went tubing!  This was only my second time tubing, but I tried to be as adventurous as Davis!

Clara's speed was more the lily pad!  She practiced her balancing skills!

Then I jumped on and we had a wrestling match on the lily pad!

Then Emily took us out on the wake surf board!  It was fun - we were surfing behind the boat!  I think this was my last chance to go with her since I'm getting so big.  Next time I'm going to have to learn to do it on my own!

Even Clara tried wake surfing with Emily!  We couldn't believe it!  I think she felt like Moana!
