Quarantine Projects!

Since we were stuck at home, Mom and Dad decided we needed some fun things to keep us busy at home!  So we helped Dad out on some projects!

First up was a sandbox!  We helped Dad sand the boards for the sandbox and did some quality control on the sand when he brought it home!

Here is the finished product - a pretty awesome sandbox!

Good spot to eat lunch or to make sand ice cream cones!

Next up was a treehouse for us!

I tried to help Dad as much as I could!

The treehouse makes a great lunch spot!

Here's the basically finished product!  Dad added some boards on the side and we want to add a rock climbing wall to the front!

Quarantine Week 4!

And another week of the same...

Our neighbor gave us a bunch of Easter decorations so we went to town decorating the house!

I took a Lego class online each week so we pulled out alllll the Legos so I could build my creations!

Clara and I pulled out our puzzles and worked on them together!

We had a really fun time doing an online art class!

We did all sorts of drawings - emojis, ice creams, and ghosts!

Someone in the neighborhood gave us some extra craft supplies and we found a whole bunch of bracelets!

Mom set us up with "ingredients" to make a special concoction!

We took a family bike ride to the park one afternoon!  With all the time at home, Clara got very good riding her bike and we all ventured out of the neighborhood together!

Here's Clara telling all about her drawings!

I did my own video by doing a tutorial of Magtiles!  This was all my idea!

Quarantine Week 3

No surprise - more of the same!  Digital learning in the mornings and living our best life in the afternoons!

We made our own pizza one night for dinner!  I now like pineapple on my pizza!

Mom picked up some new craft supplies for us and we got into making some fuse bead art!  Coasters anyone?

Mom showed us how to build things with toothpicks and marshmallows!

We may have run out of building supplies since it was close to snack time...

Teasley had PJ day - wasn't much of a stretch for us!

We broke out our watercolor paints to get a little artsy!

We discovered the fun games and effects on Messenger Kids and got into a groove of calling all of our grandparents!  I don't think Grandma B knew we snapped a picture of this effect!

Mom caught me in bed one morning just relaxing with a book!

More class Zoom calls for Show and Share!

Another benefit of virtual learning - Clara could wear her princess dress for the whole day!

Quarantine Week 2

Week 2 of quarantine looked pretty similar to the previous week...  Mom and Dad trying to get work done while helping us get our school assignments done, too!

At School Hermansen, recess takes place rain or shine!

We started the week by changing things up with our hair!

We both went for the red and blue look!

We did some more art classes with my art teacher.  Both of us really like these classes and getting to be creative!
Clara deviated a little from the class and drew all the members of our family!

I drew some Pokemon characters!

More art from Clara - she loves drawing hearts and crowns these days!

Even though Clara is not at Teasley, she still had lessons to complete!  She worked on her addition with Dad on the white board!

For one recess we got into our bathing suits and the baby pool!  I don't get to do this at Teasley!

With the weather so nice, there was a lot of porch dining for us!  Lots of breakfasts and lunches - we even got Mom and Dad to eat some dinners outside!

About once a week, I had a Zoom call with my class to connect with everyone - it was mostly show and tell but it was good to see some familiar faces (that weren't my family)!

Clara had some Zoom calls to see her classmates, too!

Quarantine Week 1

And then life as we knew it came to a screeching halt!  We had no idea that our last day at school would actually be our last...

Over the weekend, we transformed our living room into a classroom!  We were ready to go on Monday!

We came up with a schedule for the day and we had our daily chore chart!

Mom and Dad moved their offices home and we tried to take over!

During digital learning, we took a yoga break!

It felt a little like school when we did art class online!

Here's our finished products from art class!

Our neighborhood had a driveway chalk art event and we went to town!

Mila and CeCe came over to help us color in Earth!  Our drawings turned out pretty good!

I had to build a robot out of 3D shapes from around the house for one of my assignments!

I was sad that I outgrew my muscle shirt so Mom got me a new one. I can show off my muscles now!

By the end of the week, we were missing our friends.  Clara talked to Maggie and Ridley - she was all smiles!

I got to see some familiar faces on FaceTime as well - Henry and Elliott!
