Last Days of Summer!

Over the summer we had a fun time watching Holey Moley together as a family so it made sense for our last summer activity to venture out for some mini golf!

I had a little bit of a heavy stroke so ended up overshooting most holes!  But we all got a little better at each hole!

We had to take a spin on the go carts!

And of course the video games!  Luckily it wasn't super crowded and there was lots of hand sanitizer!

We had one last play date with neighborhood friends!  Catherine and I attempted to make a parachute - we never got it working well enough to try it out ourselves...

We had some sweet treats with our neighbors!

And then tricked the parents for another sweet treat!

New Looks!

Lots of new looks for both of us over the summer!

We both lost more teeth!  I ended up with a double gap on the bottom!

Owen started looking like a music aficionado!  He discovered he could bring Alexa with him wherever to listen to music - even while playing in the sandbox!

I was begging Mom for a new hair do and she finally brought me to the kids salon!

The hair stylist cut some off and asked me if it was enough.  I said more!  I ended up with about 5 inches cut off!

My Aunt Nichole tried out a new dying technique and made us new shirts!

As the end of summer approached, we got new school gear!  Laptops for our digital learning and cool, alternative desks (that worked really well for eating dinner in the basement while our kitchen was being remodeled)!

Owen tried out his Halloween look as a SWAT officer!

Camping Trip!

After having several trips cancelled, we were able to get out of town for one night to go camping at Lake Allatoona!  Clara and I had slept in the tent in the backyard and we camped for a night with Grandma B and Grandpa Mark in an RV, but this was a our first real, tent camping trip as a family!  We helped Dad pitch the tent and make a campfire, cooked our dinner on the fire and had to use a flashlight to walk to the bathroom at night!

Dad picked an awesome campsite that was just a little walk down to the water!

We didn't waste any time getting into the water and had a blast avoiding the "lava" by staying on the rocks!

We weren't the only ones enjoying the water!

Clara found a rock to climb and announced that she was queen!

Our camp neighbor had a hammock set up looking over the water and was nice enough to let us try it out!

You know we can't go camping without having Smore's!

One thing we did learn was that a 4 person tent only fits 4 people and nothing more!  And when it's middle of summer, it's hot!  So next time, we will have two tents...and a fan!

In the morning, we were back out in the water!  Who needs the ocean to have a beach?

It was a great first camping trip!

Selfie time!

We missed our beach trip this year, but we found out that boats make some pretty decent waves, too!  Wave jumping was fun morning exercise!

Baby Lennox!

One good thing that came from Coronavirus was that we got to meet our baby cousin Lennox!  She moved from California to Atlanta for a couple months.  They arrived right before 4th of July so we were able to celebrate meeting her and America!

Lennox is a super smiley baby!

It didn't take long for the three of us to warm up to each other!

Lennox loved my star, sequin shirt!

Grandma B and Grandpa Mark were happy to have their 3 grandkids all together!

I tried reading Lennox a book, but she was too grabby!

We had our all-American dinner of hamburgers and watermelon!

Owen figured out pretty quickly that the hose water is COLD!

We had to get a complete family picture with everyone together!

When we got home we saw our neighbors outside shooting fireworks so we went to join them!

Owen and I had fun with the sparklers!

We Love Water!

This was definitely a summer of water for us!  Swimming pool, lake, inflatable pool, sprinkler, rain - doesn't matter, we love it all!  The best thing was that our second time at the neighborhood pool, Clara decided she knew how to swim and became a little fish!

We rented a boat again and took another trip to the lake with our friends!

The neighbor's lawn sprinklers in the morning are always a good way to wake up!

Our favorite pool activity this year was setting our towel in the sun and having a snack (or lunch or dinner) with friends!

Clara had a pool play date with her friend Ridley from GP for Kids!

Here's Clara becoming a little fish!  I think she was watching me last year so knew exactly what to do!

We still used our backyard pool every now and then!  We made up a fun sliding game!

We also go out the Slip N Slide in the backyard!

When we went to the lake, we got pretty brave on the tube and did some tricks!
