Our New Family Member!

We finally did it!  We convinced Mom and Dad that our family was ready for a dog!  They surprised us one week and told us that we were going to meet a few dogs to find the best fit for us.  We met 4 different dogs, but after meeting Jessie first, we knew she was the one!

Her name was Lake when we met her at her foster home.  She loved us right away!  Mom and Dad were torn between her and another puppy, but we knew who was the right fit!

She was really nervous when Dad got home with her!  We tried to stay calm and make her feel comfortable.  It was hard because we were so excited!

As a family we decided to name her Jessie - after Jessie Graff from American Ninja Warrior!  Our Jessie is beautiful and strong, too!

Belly rubs are Jessie's favorite!  Owen found out that he likes belly rubs, too!

Meeting us and having so much attention was exhausting for Jessie!

We loved on her every minute we could!

Jessie fits right in with our family!

Even with the excitement of a new family member, we still remembered Mom's birthday!

Digital Learning Days!

Digital Learning was quite the experience!  We worked hard during the school day and had some fun, too!

We often got to show off our creations - lots of time it was on the white board but sometimes Legos!

Lots of art projects - some were with school and some were Ms. Ivory's ideas!

Ms. Ivory brought all kinds for fun things to our "classroom"!

One day, Ms. Ivory set up a nature scavenger hunt for us!

On nice days, we went over to the park (and even did some "sledding" down the hill)!

We found time to relax during the day as well!  Sometimes at the pool, sometimes at lunch!

Ms. Ivory was a great fit to have at home with us during digital learning!  We made it hard sometimes, but she managed to keep us on track during the day!

We each had some class projects to do!  Owen made habitats of Native Americans and I drew a picture of my family holiday tradition!

Way 2 Cheer Camp!

We went to Way 2 Cheer and Way 2 Play camps during a break!  No pictures from Way 2 Play, but plenty from my camp!

We got to practice our stunting!  Us little kids (I'm in the middle in pink) get to be the ones lifted in the air!

Took a break from cheering to practice hula hooping!

More stunting in our performance at the end of the week!  I'm in the middle again!

Since I got my own pom poms, I made sure to bring them with me to camp!

The playground where camp was held was really cool - the swing was my favorite!

Clemson football gave me a good chance to put my cheering skills to work!  Go Trevor Lawrence! 

Sweetwater Creek Hike!

 The next weekend we went on another hike but to a different place.  We went to Sweetwater Creek and met up with our friends Landon and Dylan!

Right away us boys found some rocks to climb!

I can't wait to do this hike again when it's warm enough to get in the water!

Clara was completely up for posing for pictures in her hiking outfit!

Part of the hike had an abandoned mill where they have recently filmed movies!

There were only one or two slips and moderately wet tennis shoes at the end of the hike!

It was really pretty to hike right next to the creek (that was more like a river)!

Arabia Mountain Hike!

On a Sunday we got up and going to meet Grandma B, Grandpa Mark, Aunt Nichole, Uncle Skylar and Lennox for a hike at Arabia Mountain!

Thomas came too!  It was a really cool (and different) hike - tons of flat granite!

And areas covered in wildflowers!

We found an old quarry building - we pretended it was an old jail!

There was a beautiful lake - not one that we wanted to swim in though!

Afterwards we had a picnic lunch before heading home!
