Zoo Trip!

My friends were meeting up at the zoo so of course we joined them!  Owen came along as well but he wanted to make sure he wasn't the only boy this time, so he brought his friend Charlie with him!

The petting zoo was still closed so we could only watch the goats!

It was hard to get seats near each other on the carousel so the boys sat in one of the carriage seats together!

Fun Outings!

When the weather was mild, we took advantage and got outside!  We even made it outside even when it wasn't so nice!

We started out the year taking a hike with Jessie!

Clara got to try out her new ear muffs!

This was a much colder weekend but we still had a good time checking out a new playground with our friends!

Hats and blankets were needed!  It was a cold birthday celebration for 2 of our friends!

Mom had to work a weekend and stayed in a hotel nearby so we went to visit her!  It wasn't outside, but still a fun outing to go swimming!  We even got to try the hot tub...for a few minutes!

Back to School!

When our holiday break was over and it was time to go back to school, we actually got to go back to school!  Like in the school!  It was so great to be with our teachers and classmates in person!

We were excited but I don't think Jessie understood what was about to happen!

On Wednesdays we still had a virtual day so Ms Ivory came over with us a few times.  My new doll also joined me one day - in a dress that matched mine!

One of the last days that Ms Ivory was with us, we had a lunch picnic outside with Mila and Colette!

Part of my afternoon routine was to play with my friend Liz after we got home from school while Owen rode bikes with his friends!

Before long, it was the 100th day of school!  I glued 100 pompoms on my shirt!  It was heavy!

Jessie also started going to school a couple times a week so she could get in some good playtime with friends!

Holiday Break!

We finished up our holiday break from school with some more fun activities!

We had to have a family New Year's celebration to welcome in 2021 (and say good-bye to 2020 for good)!

Jessie joined in on the celebration, too!

All three of us made it to midnight!

We started off 2021 by cheering on Clemson in the playoff game!

No one, even dogs, can live in the house and not be a Clemson fan!

We cheered hard, but unfortunately it's wasn't quite enough...

Remember our beautiful gingerbread house?  A big earthquake or hurricane must have rolled through... or maybe some Hermansen muscles!

Grandpa Mark helped me get good use out of my new face paint makeup!

And I built my first, big Lego set all by myself!

Owen got one a little bigger, but he breezed through it, too!

Birthday Boy!

Right after Christmas, we switched gears to celebrate my birthday!  Definitely no big party this year, but we came up with a good (and safe) idea!

I had a pretty specific birthday cake request so I was willing to help make it!

I wanted a snowman cake with chocolate frosting and peppermint ice cream!  Mom and Dad delivered!  It was delicious!

It was a good (and strange) year - looking forward to my year as an 8 year old!

To celebrate, the Chitnises and Latones came over for pizza and cupcakes in the garage!  After that, we went golfing - on a real golf course!

No more snowman cake left so we celebrated with cupcakes!
