More Iowa Fun!

When we were in Iowa for July 4th I got to do lots of fun things!

I got to hang out at the lake and watch the big kids play in the water!  It was so relaxing I ended up taking a snooze!

I got to ride a boat!  I really didn't like that life jacket but once the boat started going I forgot about it and had a good time!

I even got to drive the boat with Michael!

No swimming in the lake for me so instead I played in a bucket of water and got just as wet as if I had gone swimming! 

I got to see my Aunt Noreen!  She heard how much I like tractors so she brought me a new toy one and a John Deere shirt!

I got to play cornhole!  I made up my own game though...

Cousin Time!

In Iowa I got to hang out with my cousins and meet some new ones!

I got to meet my 2nd cousin Steph - she came from San Diego!

I also got to meet my 2nd cousin Jamie - she lives in Minneapolis!  If you can't tell, I wasn't too interested in being held by anyone this trip!  Too much running around to do!

Fourth of July in Iowa!

We all traveled to Iowa again for the Fourth of July holiday.  I got an A+ for my traveling this trip.  I slept almost the whole flight up there, was good for the 3 hour car rides there and back, and didn't sleep a wink on the plane on the way home, but behaved myself.

Grandpa got a new toy that was the highlight of my trip!  A tractor just my size!

I had lots of Grandma and Grandpa time doing my favorite things!

I hung out with Uncle Jim in the morning looking for tractors, dogs, and birds...

Grandpa took me out on the dock - I learned that it's a rule to hold hands on the dock! And I let Uncle Dan read me a story before he left.

And we just had lots of laughs!

Here we are on the 4th of July!  I missed the fireworks again this year.  And Mom and Dad missed them this year too.  That might have been my fault since I was still awake...oops!

18 Months!

So I'm REALLY late on this picture - like a whole month late!  But for the record, the picture was taken closer to when I turned 18 months...

I still don't weigh too much - probably because I run everywhere (and only eat fruit and quesadillas)!  But I keep getting taller and I'm doing everything that an 18 month old boy should be doing.  Still only 8 teeth (with no signs of more to come yet) but I'm managing to get by okay! 

This is a picture of some artwork I made at school.  Mom hung it on the wall at home but I asked her to hang it lower so I could still play with it! 

One thing I really like right now is wearing Mom and Dad's shoes!  Mom's shoes work the best, but I can walk in Dad's flip flops.  Here's a video of me showing off in Mom's shoes...

And this wasn't on the 18 month checklist, but I can also put on deodorant...almost!

Catch Air!

In June I got to go to a birthday party for my neighbors at Catch Air.  I had a fun time!  Well, except when Mickey and Minnie came out for the dance party.  I was doing just find without them there...

I ate some pizza and had some juice.  No cake for me though!  There were lots of things to climb on!

After lunch I found the best part of the whole place - the ball pit!  I could have stayed there all afternoon...

My Friends!

I might seem pretty shy around new people these days but I end up warming up pretty quick and making friends! 

At the end of June, one of Mom and Dad's college friends came to stay for a night.  She was nice but I really liked her son Connor - he was so cool and I had lots of fun playing with my ball with him!  He's much older (almost 8) so I felt pretty special getting to hang out with him!

I've got lots of friends at school too!  I've been in three different classrooms since I've started school but I've had most of the same friends in my class for all of them.  It's lots of fun now that we can "talk" to each other!  At least there are a couple people that understand everything I'm saying...

Go USA!

In support of today's soccer game and an early Happy Birthday to America, I thought I'd share some pics of me cheering on USA soccer the Sunday before last (when they played Ghana) at our neighbor's house.  I'll be honest, I didn't really follow a whole lot of the game - I had a lot of other things keeping me busy (like a trampoline, a play kitchen set, a slide, a ball)!

I got into the USA spirit with the pinwheel headband (which didn't last long on my head)!

My neighbor Galen was showing me how to use the trampoline.  I had lots of fun and could actually get some air under my feet when I jumped!
