Easter Fun!

We had a fun Easter!  The Easter Bunny came to visit us at our house so Clara and I had to find all of the Easter eggs he left for us!  Clara did good, but I got the most!

After we found all of the eggs, we had to find out what was inside of them!

Then we put on some nice clothes and went over to Grandma and Grandpa Young's house!

They made us special pancakes!

Mom and Grandma B wanted a picture with Clara in her pretty dress!

We had watermelon - our favorite!

Don't get in our way of eating watermelon!

We were able to find some entertainment on their trailer and sheets of plywood!  It made a good ramp!

We took some family pictures, of course! Clara and I cooperated for the most part!

Clara wore the same dress that she did last Easter (it was a little big last year)!  I'm not sure how many more years she's going to be able to sit on Grandpa's shoulders!

This is what happens when you give some guys a trailer, plywood and and a scooter!

And Clara didn't want to miss out on the action, even though she's not ready for riding down ramps just yet!

Football!

Since I've done soccer and baseball, I wanted to try out football next!  Don't worry - only flag football!  Watching me play at the beginning of the season probably wasn't too exciting, but by the end I really got into it.  I even got close to getting a flag several times!  So no touchdowns or flags for me during the season, but it was fun!

I'm wearing #5 on my jersey. Dad helped out coaching sometimes.

Here I am in action Week 2 of the season.  Keep an eye on #5.  This wasn't my best effort, but I was still figuring out what was going on!

And here I am the last game of the season - I had perfected the "ready" stance!

You can tell that I was paying attention in our practices!  This is one of the times I got close to getting a flag - a little different than at the beginning of the season!

And here I was as the running back on offense.  I actually gained a couple of yards!  At the beginning of the season, I didn't even want to be the running back...

After the game, we gave high fives to everyone on the other team.

Since it was the last game of the season, we had our awards ceremony and got trophies!

Time with Mom!

Dad and Owen went over to a friends house so Mom and I had a day together at the zoo!

Mom gave me one big ponytail because it was going to be hot at the zoo!  And I brought my giraffe with me because - well, because we were going to the zoo!

And I got to see the giraffes!

We saw the gorillas, too!

And tigers (over my left shoulder) and panda bears!

Then we rode the train!

And the carousel!  I picked one of the non-moving animals - it was my first time so I wasn't too sure about it at first.  But it ended up being fun!

Bye Mom and Dad!

Mom and Dad left us for a night away and Grandma B and Grandpa Mark came to stay with us!  We had a fun time!
To get ready for Easter, we dyed eggs with shaving cream!

Grandma B got us new pajamas so we modeled those - and dressed up as Bob the Builder!

Clara and Grandma B played beauty shop and styled their hair!

In the morning, we played outside.  The package man delivered a box for Clara - it made the perfect seat!

Clara likes to dress up as Bob the Builder, too!  (To help translate, her teachers - and sometimes us - call her Clara Belle, so that's what she thinks her name is!)

Clemson Baseball!

We went with our friends to watch Clemson play Georgia Tech in baseball when they were in Atlanta!  It was our first Clemson baseball game!

It was hot!  But not too hot to let my friend Elle pick me up and hold me!

Here we all are (before it got too, too crazy!) - Elliott, Landon, Dylan, Owen, Elle and me!

We got to see about 4 homeruns by Clemson and they won the game!

We stayed the whole game so we could run the bases at the end!  We had to wait until all the players left the field...

At first, Mom wasn't going to let me run the bases since I'm still little.  But when Owen realized he was going to have to go by himself, he wasn't happy.  So Mom let us go together - we went towards the end so it wasn't too crowded.  Owen was a good big brother and waited for me - my legs just can't go as fast as his!  It was fun until a bigger kid ran into Owen at third base and knocked him down.  I wasn't quite sure what to do, so I just kept running!  Owen wasn't hurt though (just his pride maybe...).  Hopefully we can do it again - maybe at the Braves stadium next time!

Springtime!

Springtime is here and we're loving it!  We have been spending lots of time outside!  The front yard ends up being our go to spot.  We've been getting some lessons about being safe around the street - so far we are both following the rules!

We like the backyard too!  We climbed up the (not working) waterfall to the top of the hill!

Even in the spring, we can manage to get sick!  Pink eye for both of us but that meant ice cream after the doctor's visit.  Didn't even have to get shots!

Clara has her own scooter but I was trying to show her how to ride mine!  Just on the grass though so she doesn't get hurt...

Sometimes just reading a book outside is fun!

Spring in Atlanta means pollen so we've been busy cleaning the porch!  I think Mom really appreciated our help!

Another great part of spring is watermelon!  Clara and I can clean up some watermelon!

Mom and Dad sat in the front yard with us (and their wine) one night!  We were good entertainment with our version of a potato sack race!  Here I am doing my thing!

And here's Clara doing hers!
