Adventures on the Water!

We spent a weekend at Lake Hartwell with our friends Davis and Ollie!  Their grandparents live on the lake and they have a fun (fast) boat and lots of water toys!  Clara and I were super brave this trip and tried new things!

We enjoyed relaxing on the boat rides we took!

I learned how to kayak and was able to maneuver pretty well around the dock!

Davis and I went tubing!  This was only my second time tubing, but I tried to be as adventurous as Davis!

Clara's speed was more the lily pad!  She practiced her balancing skills!

Then I jumped on and we had a wrestling match on the lily pad!

Then Emily took us out on the wake surf board!  It was fun - we were surfing behind the boat!  I think this was my last chance to go with her since I'm getting so big.  Next time I'm going to have to learn to do it on my own!

Even Clara tried wake surfing with Emily!  We couldn't believe it!  I think she felt like Moana!

School Days!

Summer was fun at school!  Water play days were the best and we even had a birthday party for the center!

There was a face painter at the center's birthday party!

There was a competitive tug-of-war game!

At school we did some experiments with x-rays!

Fridays are one of my favorite days because I get to explain my show and share item with my friends!

I get to use the computer for learning some days and I love painting!

Front Yard Fun!

During the summer at Grandma Pam's and Grandpa Mike's, the front yard is the place to be!  Lots of grass, shade and beautiful lake view!

Aunt Laura and Uncle Dan brought a pool for the front yard this year!

I made a special soup!

The neighbors let us borrow their 4 wheeler!  Owen gave all of us lessons on driving it!

We took turns driving it all over the yard! 

We loaded up our stuffies for a ride, too!

We also got to borrow their sports car.  The same car that Owen sat in for family pictures five years ago...  It doesn't run quite as well these days but it was still fun!

And while the front yard is super fun, hanging with Grandpa is pretty special, too!

Summer Fun!

Once we got to Grandma Pam and Grandpa Mike's house we had lots of fun keeping busy with all sorts of things!

I taught Grandma Pam how to do Bey Blade battles and we made our own stadium!

We did some crafts and playdoh!

Grandma made a birthday cake for Aunt Laura - I helped clean up!

We had lots of fun taking Grandpa Mike's boat out and we both go to drive! 

During one boat trip, Mom and I tried paddleboarding together while Clara took a snooze! 

And another boat trip, we both took a snooze! 

We got to try out the Slip n' Slide!

We spent some time with our cousins but didn't get to play with them quite as much as we wanted to because they weren't feeling well at all!  But we did get a group picture with Aunt Christy!

Of course, we had to be patriotic on the Fourth of July!

Mall of America!

We started our summer trip to Iowa with a stop at Mall of America after we landed in Minneapolis.  Our cousins even met us there for some play time at the amusement park that was inside the mall!  There were all sorts of rides and playgrounds - it was awesome!

Clara and I are always up for a good carousel ride!

I started on one of the small roller coasters and got brave enough to ride with my hands in the air.

Then I sent on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ride all by myself - it went up super high in the air!

I rode the Log Chute two times!  I really did like it even though it might not look like it.  I'm not quite sure if Wylie liked it or not!

Clara didn't have any trouble sleeping on the way to Grandma and Grandpa's house...I didn't either!

Half Birthday Celebration!

We celebrated our half birthdays with Mom and Dad this year!  It's always fun to get a few presents in the middle of the year!

We both wanted donuts to celebrate instead of cake!

Mom and Dad had a huge surprise for us!  We first had to go on a hunt through the house to find all of the hidden words and then put them together to figure out the present.  Good thing Owen is learning to read!
