What's in a Name?

Mom and Dad have been calling me something other than just "baby" lately so I think that means I have a name.  I heard lots of discussion, laughing, reminiscing, and rhyming that took place to get to that decision.  I like the name, so I think everyone else will, too!  However, since no one can hear me saying anything in Mom's belly, everyone will have to wait until I'm actually here to find out.  Mom and Dad said that gives them the chance to change their mind at the last minute if I don't quite fit the name when I get here.  They did say they appreciate all of the suggestions though!

I do have to give a shout out to my great grandpas - Virgil, Sherwood, Alden and Harvey.  Their names just haven't made a comeback yet - I'm sure it's just around the corner though!  So while I love them and wish I could meet them, I won't be taking on any of their names.  Also to Grandma Pam - Henry is a nice name and Dad really likes it, but it's not happening either - something about those double H's.  But it's okay for you to call me that for now!  My cousins also had some suggestions for Mom and Dad - I think I'm going to be pretty good in sports, but I would have a hard time pulling off the name Desmond.  But thanks Hunter for the suggestion!

So for now...

Nursery Updates!

Mom and dad have made a little progress on my new room - finally!  I don't think Paul is too happy about the addition - especially since they leave pillows in the chair so he can't sit in it!

Yay for LaZBoys!  Good thing it's comfy - I think there is a night or two in Dad's future he might be sleeping in it!

Paul was asking Dad if he could please test out the chair.  Dad said no.  (Don't feel bad for Paul - he has his own chair in Mom and Dad's room - it just doesn't recline or rock)

And here's the bedding that is on order!  Of course it was the first bedding that Mom found that she actually liked - just took a couple weeks for her to be sure!

Go Braves!

Dad must be a big deal or something because he scored a pretty cool hook up earlier this week!  I got to go to the Braves game and sit in the Suntrust seats!  These are the seats literally behind home plate, or in our case behind the Braves on deck circle!  My good luck continued at this game when the Braves won with a walk off homerun in the 9th to clinch a spot in the postseason.  We even saw ourselves on TV during the highlight reels the next day!

This was taken right next to our seats!

I do have to admit though that my streak ended last night when the Braves lost to the Mets...hopefully that won't carry over to Clemson next weekend!

Week 27 and 28

Mom had a doctor's appointment today and everything checked out great!  I'm measuring where I should be and I have a strong, consistent heartbeat.  The fun is about to start - now we'll be going to the doctor's every two weeks!

Here's a couple more pictures of me to catch everyone up on how big I'm getting!

New York City!

Last weekend I got to travel to New York City with mom and dad!  They called it their "Babymoon".  Guess they don't plan on taking many more trips until after I'm here.  Dad took mom to a fancy restaurant where they did a tasting menu with all sorts of different food and mom broke some rules.  But the sushi appetizer and glass of wine with dinner were so good!  Then I got to feel some good belly laughs by mom while they watched The Book of Mormon on Broadway.  Pretty sure it will be a while before I'm back in a Broadway theater!

The next day dad had something else fun planned for mom.  I couldn't quite see what it was but I heard them talking about making my first Christmas present for me.  I can't wait!

I also got to go to New Jersey and meet my Uncle Skylar and his girlfriend Nichole.  I was a little shy though and didn't let them feel how well I can kick!

Week 26

Here I am at 26 weeks (last Thursday)!  Lots of kicking now!  I have become the evening's entertainment for mom and dad.  Apparently it's pretty funny to feel me kick and to see mom's stomach move!

Week 26

Mom says she still feels pretty good, but I think she's having a hard time bending over now.  I hear her huffing and puffing when she's tying her shoes or picking up things off the floor.

Go Tigers!

I've gotten to go to two Clemson football games already!  I must be good luck because Clemson won both of them - even the one in Atlanta against Auburn!

Here's our family picture at the Auburn game.  Go Tigers!

Here I am at the Clemson vs Ball St game - my first home game.  The crowd was excited to be there - even I could hear them!  I'm in a pretty temperature controlled environment but it was hot!  Mom could only make it to half time - those stands are too close to the sun!
