Three Months Old!

Three months old now!  No doctor's appointment this month thank goodness!  I got on the scale with Dad and he estimated I weigh about 15 1/2 lbs.  I carry it all in my belly!

Going out to take Paul on a quick walk...you wouldn't be happy either if you had to wear a fuzzy suit with ears on it!

I love my ball - it's especially fun to stick my tongue through the holes!

Paul wanted to help with my photo shoot

I like looking at Paul now - I can't figure out why he looks so different from mom and dad!

Daycare update

I've got 3 days of school under my belt now!  Here's what I've accomplished so far...

  • 1 outfit change due to a diaper mishap
  • 1 cold (complete with a cough)
  • 1 three hour nap
Haven't really made any friends yet - still working on that!

Here's a pic from the other week of Dad trying to see if he can get me to throw up on his face...lucky for him, I held it together!

Bye bye bumpers!

Since I haven't been moving in my sleep, Mom left the bumpers up in my crib because they were just so cute!

Well on Friday night, I managed to turn myself 90 degrees in the crib.  So bye bye bumpers!  Now it just looks like a jail cell (and feels like that too, especially at nap time)!  Mom and Dad don't know what they are in for when I start rolling over!

You can see I was close to getting out of the swaddle too!

First Day of School!

Friday was the big day - my first day of school!  Mom and Dad had to wake me up to get ready. It took us a couple of trips to get the car loaded up - apparently I come with a lot of baggage!  Diapers, wipes, changes of clothes, bottles... and of course Mom and Dad's work stuff too!

Mom and Dad dropped me off with my teacher - her name is Ms Nona.  There was so much to look at in that room and lots of new sounds.  Some of the other kids must not have eaten breakfast before school because there were a couple impatient kids in there!  Ms Nona took me and carried me around and then Mom and Dad said bye.  I didn't cry and it didn't look like Mom did either.  I was worried about her...

Around lunchtime, Mom came down to say hi.  I was just getting ready to eat lunch though so she didn't stay too long.  Then Mom and Dad both came back at the end of the day to get me.  I had a good report card - ate all the food Mom sent for me, a few naps here and there, and no changes of outfits!  I fell asleep a couple times on the floor while I was playing and then the teachers moved me into the crib - I didn't like that at all.  Some regulation or something means that I have to sleep in the crib and not on the floor.  Haven't decided if I'm going to give in to that yet.

It was fun having two whole days with Mom and Dad, but I'm looking forward to getting back to school tomorrow.  There were some cute girls in my class that I've got to get to know!

Can you tell how excited I am for school?!

Here's Mom and I - her 3rd day back to work and my first day of school!

Bye Mom!

This week I've been getting up super early but not because I want to but because Mom and Dad have been waking me up!  Something about a trial run for the normal weekday schedule.  Monday and Tuesday, Mom and I just went back to bed, but today was different.  Mom and Dad both left in nice clothes, carrying computer bags (I almost didn't recognize Mom!).

I was supposed to go to school for the first time today, but I ended up staying home with Grandma for the day.  Dad had to go to Iowa to be with his family and Mom didn't think she could leave me at school without Dad there to help.  I get to spend tomorrow with Grandma too and then it's off to school on Friday!

Grandma knows how to get me to take a nap!

Grandma let me watch Sesame Street - I couldn't take my eyes off of it!

Happy St Patty's Day!

I got to celebrate St Patty's Day in style this year!  We went to a fun neighborhood festival.  Unfortunately I missed the first half because I took a nap, but I joined the party later, especially when I got to go into a bar with mom and dad!  Grandma and Grandpa Young came with us and so did the Watkins.

Rockin' the St Patty's Day tux!

No one woke me up to see the green fountain...

Dad got me a beer but I was too tired to drink it.  Interestingly, it had disappeared by the time I woke up...

Rylan Watkins is one of my new friends!

Fresh Air!

Mom finally figured out how to take me and Paul for a walk at the same time!  This means lots more walks!  Paul might be more excited than me though.  As you can see from the picture, I don't really care how I go for a walk - I end up asleep being carried or in the stroller!

This picture was from Wednesday - it was really cold so I had my winter hat.  With 70 degree temps this weekend, I'm going to get to wear my baseball hat instead.  Hello Spring!

As a funny point of reference, here's a picture of me the day I went home from the hospital.  I was wearing the same hat that I did this week for my walk.  Good thing winter is about over - I don't think that hat will be fitting me much longer!
