Fall in Vermont!

Since it was fall in Vermont we had to take time to enjoy all of the colors on the trees!

See how beautiful it was!

And this is how we got to see the beautiful fall colors - we took a ski lift to the top of a mountain!  I made sure to hold on tight!

Once we got the top of the mountain, I needed a break from pictures!

But of course Clara was ready for a picture as usual!

When we got back down the mountain and I had a chance to swing, I got my second wind with the pictures!  There was a perfect spot for Clara and I to do a quick photo shoot!

And who doesn't like to pose in front of a cow statue??!!

Going to Vermont!

In October, Clara and I officially gained a new family member when Uncle Skylar got married! We officially have an Aunt Nichole now!  We traveled to Vermont with everyone for the wedding and had a great time!

The Ben & Jerry's factory was just down the road so we made time to visit!  I wasn't too interested in the ice cream, but Clara sure was!

We stayed in a house while we were in Vermont so there was lots of time to hang out (no pants required of course) and play with cars!

Our Uncle Skylar and Aunt Nichole!

Great Grandma Alice even came to Vermont for the wedding!  It was her first time getting to meet Clara!

Fall time in Vermont was pretty beautiful and the weather was great for the most part!  Mom couldn't resist trying to get a good picture of me with the fall colors!  I helped her out for one picture...

On the Move!

I'm definitely figuring out how my legs work these days!

First I figured out crawling!  I started out pretty slow but I can get places QUICK now!

Then I got good at standing up!  (Paul thought it was pretty funny that I am now his height!)

And then I found the most exciting thing in the world - STAIRS!  I can find them anywhere and love to climb them.  I can do it all by myself, but for some reason Mom and Dad always come running to help me...  And Owen doesn't let me climb by myself either - he tells on me when I'm practicing my stair climbing.

Just because I can get places on my own now, that doesn't mean that I turn down an offer from Owen to help me out every now and then!

Here's a video of me in action on the stairs!  I've even faster getting up them now!

Smile!

I was a really big boy and went to the dentist!  I showed my teeth so the dentist could check them out.  I didn't want to sit on the chair by myself (it was okay to sit on Mom though) and I cried once, but overall I did pretty good!  I even got to pick out a prize out of the treasure chest afterwards and got to have Chick-fil-A for breakfast.  The dentist gave me some cool flossers and now I floss my teeth before bed - got to get rid of the sugar bugs!

Wedding in Iowa!

I had lots of fun during my first trip to Iowa!  The wedding and party was lots of fun (even though I didn't get to stay up for all of it).  And I got to meet lots of family for the first time!

Here we are all ready for the wedding!  It was a beautiful day so Owen was able to get away with wearing shorts!

Of course I got my snuggle time in with Grandpa and Grandma!

I got to meet my Uncle Mark and Aunt Christie.  I got to see my other Aunt Christy too - was she making fun of me??!!

My cousin Josh was there to give me some tickles and my cousin Abby gave me lots of hugs!

I got to see Aunt Noreen again and she gave me my most favorite teddy bear!  I sleep with it every night - it has the best ribbon on it that is the perfect combo with my fingers for sucking on at night!

Cousin Joel was there too - Owen had fun sitting with him at the wedding!

It was rainy when we got there but the weather turned out really nice so I had some time to play in the grass!

Going to Iowa!

My cousin Steph got married at the end of September in Iowa!  Mom couldn't go, but Dad was brave and took Clara and I to Grandma and Grandpa Hermansen's house for the wedding.  This was the first plane ride that I had my very own seat and Clara's first plane ride ever!

I was in charge of my backpack (and George of course) and Dad had everything else under control!  What you can't see is that Clara was in the carrier on Dad's chest...

Grandpa Mike put me right to work when I got there!  I had to rake leaves, shuck corn and help him mow the grass!

But at least we got to the eat the corn that I helped prepare!  Iowa corn is the best!

There was plenty of time to play and rest though too!

And it's not a trip to Iowa without doughnuts and Pizza Ranch!

There was a Big Wheels there for me to ride - it didn't take me long to figure out the pedals!
